Concrete Resurfacing & Repairs Across the Fraser Coast

If your concrete is structurally sound but looking tired, stained, faded or boring, resurfacing is often the smartest fix. Instead of ripping out and re-pouring, we apply a decorative overlay over the top of your existing slab, transforming the look without the cost, mess and time of a full replacement. It is a popular choice on the Fraser Coast for driveways, paths, patios and pool surrounds that have seen better days but do not need to be torn up.

Spray-on overlays give you a fresh, textured, non-slip surface in a colour and pattern of your choosing. We can mimic the look of pavers, tiles or stone, refresh a plain grey slab with a clean modern finish, or give a pool surround a cooler, grippier top. Because it goes over the existing concrete, you keep the structure you already have and just upgrade the surface — often for a fraction of replacement cost.

Resurfacing is not always the right answer, and we will tell you that honestly. If your slab is badly cracked, sinking, lifting at the joints or has drainage problems underneath, an overlay will not fix the underlying issue and the new surface will fail along with the old one. Part of our job is assessing your concrete properly and telling you whether resurfacing makes sense or whether you would be better off repairing or replacing. We would rather give you the straight answer than sell you a quick fix that does not last.

Where resurfacing is the right call, we prepare the surface thoroughly, repair cracks and damage first, and apply the overlay so it bonds properly and lasts. Skipped prep is the number one reason overlays fail, so we do not rush it. Local, QBCC licensed and insured, and we leave the site clean and the surface ready to enjoy.

What We Offer

Spray-on overlays

A thin, hard-wearing decorative layer sprayed and finished over your existing slab in a colour and pattern to suit.

Crack & damage repair

Cracks, chips and surface damage repaired and prepared before the overlay goes on, so the finish is even and bonds well.

Pattern & colour options

Stencilled and textured finishes that mimic pavers, tiles or stone, or a clean modern colour to freshen a plain slab.

Non-slip finish

Resurfaced finishes can be made non-slip for safety around pools, paths and entries — important in our wet season.

Resurface vs replace assessment

An honest inspection of your slab to tell you whether resurfacing will work or whether repair or replacement is the better value.

Sealing for longevity

Sealing the new surface to protect it from UV, staining and weathering so the refresh lasts.

Our Resurfacing & Repairs Process

No mystery, no shortcuts. Here's exactly how we approach every resurfacing & repairs job on the Fraser Coast — so you know what's happening at each stage.

  1. 01

Free on-site consult & slab inspection

We inspect your existing concrete closely — checking for cracks, movement, drainage issues and how sound the slab is. This tells us honestly whether resurfacing is the right fix or whether repair or replacement is the better option for you.

  2. 02

    Written fixed quote, itemised

If resurfacing suits, you get a written quote detailing the surface prep, crack repairs, the overlay system, the colour and pattern, sealing and clean-up. Everything is spelled out so you know exactly what is included.

  3. 03

    Booking & surface preparation

We confirm a date and prepare the surface thoroughly — cleaning, grinding or etching as needed so the overlay bonds properly. Good prep is the single biggest factor in whether a resurface lasts, so we never cut it short.

  4. 04

    Crack & damage repair

We repair cracks, chips and any damaged areas and address joints, so the new surface goes on over a sound, even base. Existing problems are dealt with rather than hidden under the overlay.

  5. 05

    Base coat & overlay application

We apply the base coat and build up the overlay system, working it to the chosen texture. For patterned finishes, stencils are applied at this stage to create the look of pavers, tiles or stone.

  6. 06

    Colour, detailing & finish

We apply the colour and detail the finish evenly across the area, taking care at edges and against walls so the result looks neat and intentional, not patched on.

  7. 07

    Seal, clean-up & walkthrough

We seal the new surface to protect it from UV, stains and weather, clean up the site, and walk you through care and when you can use it again. Your tax invoice is provided on completion.

No surprises

Honest, Transparent Pricing

Resurfacing is quoted as a fixed price in writing before we start, with the surface prep, crack repairs, overlay system, colour and pattern, sealing and clean-up all itemised, and a GST tax invoice at the end. You will know exactly what the refresh includes, with no vague verbal numbers that drift upward once we are underway.

The biggest honesty point with resurfacing is whether it is the right choice at all. We inspect your slab properly and tell you the truth — if it is badly cracked, moving or has drainage problems, an overlay will not last and we will say so rather than take your money for a fix that fails. When resurfacing genuinely suits, we will tell you that too, and you will save a lot compared with replacement.

If our prep reveals more damage than was visible on the surface, we stop, show you, and agree any variation in writing before we proceed. You will never get a bigger bill than you signed off on. Our whole approach is built on giving Fraser Coast locals straight advice and a fair, fixed price.

Concrete Resurfacing & Repairs FAQs

Can any concrete be resurfaced?
No — the slab needs to be structurally sound. If it is badly cracked, sinking, lifting or has drainage problems underneath, an overlay will fail with it. That is why we inspect your concrete first and give you an honest answer about whether resurfacing will work or whether repair or replacement is the better option.
How long does a spray-on overlay last?
With proper preparation and sealing, a quality overlay lasts many years. The key is the prep and looking after it with occasional cleaning and resealing, which matters more on the coast because of the salt and UV. We seal it on completion and let you know when a reseal is due.
Will the cracks come back through the new surface?
We repair cracks and address joints before applying the overlay, and where there is active movement we manage it appropriately. A hairline crack in a stable slab can be repaired so it does not telegraph through. Significant moving cracks are a sign the slab may not be a good candidate, which is why the assessment comes first.
Is resurfacing cheaper than replacing my concrete?
In most cases, yes — significantly. You avoid the cost of demolition, removal and a full re-pour, and the job is quicker with less disruption. It only makes sense when the slab is sound, though. We will give you an honest comparison so you can decide based on real numbers, not a sales pitch.
Can resurfaced concrete be made non-slip?
Yes. We can finish the overlay with a non-slip texture and use anti-slip additives, which is important around pools, on paths and at entries given our heavy summer rain. We will recommend the right level of grip for where the surface is and how it will be used.
